18/52 weekly Stills

1. I took a quick overnight trip to visit a very dear friend who lives in north west NSW during the week. This was the landscape for most of the trip. It was so lovely to catch up and see where she is now living- an oasis amongst the harsh yet beautiful australian landscape.
2. Royal Mail Hotel at Booroorban.
3. Rain on its way…..
4. This bright and cheery sign on a property mailbox- Happy Mother's Day!
5. Back home and catching up on some washing. It did rain but the sun came out- love the light this time of year! It even makes the washing look pretty…..
6. Outside our kitchen/living room is this beautiful pomegrante tree. It is so lovely watching it as it changes throughout the year. The tree is full of ripe fruit (which Im trying to use….any suggestions are very welcome!!) and the leaves have now turned the most gorgeous bright yellow, which looks so pretty against a sunny bright blue sky as the backdrop.
7. Our little man has an absolute fascination with boats as the moment and a trip down to the Port is his favourite thing to do. Toot Toot!!!!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend
celebrating Mother's Day….xx

12/52 Weekly Stills

A week of pre school, playgroup, much needed wonderful rain, piles of washing, some baking, more rain, a trip to visit grandparents and I started working on a special project, which I will share with you once its completed.

This weeks images were taken whilst visiting my in laws who have a beautiful old home with a lovely garden. The kids had a blast playing in the garden and we were spoilt with a delicious lunch and good company. I had fun taking snapshots too.

Dont forget if you havent already, to visit the Bale Out Ball facebook page. Please like and share the page and help spread the word of supporting our Aussie Farmers. They have almost hit 5000 likes which is such a great effort!

Hope you have some fun plans for the weekend!

7/52 Weekly Stills

1 & 2. Two of my favourite old buildings in Echuca. I love the colours and the signage, especially the old Echuca Coffee Palace. Oh, the stories these buildings could tell!
3. Who doesn't like the old windmill 'Motel' sign???
4. Seeking inspiration- just a few of my many cook books……
5. Our St Valentine's Day dessert. Recipe here.
6. Our Pomegrante tree is riddled with fruit. Im so excited although still have no idea if they are real or ornamental???? The suspense is killing me. We also had some much needed rain over the weekend so the garden is looking so much happier, and lawns desperately need a cut!
7. A little girl enjoying every mouthful of an ice cream that was melting faster then it was consumed!
8. A trip to the Yabby Farm to purchase these little fellows.

Hope you had a good week! Kx

Visiting Musk Farm

Are you a fan of Paul Bangay's work? Well, Im a tad late to the garden party but after visiting the Open Day at Stonefield and Musk Farm in Daysleford last November, Im now a convert!

The gardens of Musk farm have been designed by the ever so clever Paul. This is yet another example of Paul's style and what he has become renown for in the landscaping world- designing gardens that are classic, elegant and timeless.

I personally prefer the more non formal style gardens here- the topiary looks amazing but I could never replicate that in my own garden. I love the climbing roses, sprawling ground cover and the lovely flower pots scattered around the garden adding a spot of white or green here and there.
The vegetable garden was a favourite, and peonies…amazing! The greenery just makes you feel so much cooler in those hot summer months.

Here are some snapshots I took on the day at Musk Farm.
I think anyone-keen gardener or not- would be in paradise here!

Musk Farm is located in Daylesford and is the privately owned home of
the late Stuart Rattle- one of Australia's most well known
and talented Interior Designers.
